Ooty called as the Queen of Hill stations located on 2, 240 Mt. (7350 ft.) above the sea level and Kodaikanal called as the Princes of Hill stations located on 2,133 Mt. (6998 ft.) above the sea level are the two famous hill stations in southern part of India on one of eight biological hotspots of the World “Western Ghats”. These hill stations are famous for its sholas (Green rolling lands), tea & coffee plantations, pine and Oak forests, fragrant flowers, lakes that surrounded by mountains, clouds kissing mountains.

Ooty is located in the Nilagiri mountain range of Western Ghats, it forms the famous Nilagiri Biosphere Reserve. It is also the place where both the Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats intersects the two important mountain ranges of peninsular India. Nilagiri mountains is also famous for unique “Nilakurunji flowers” which blooms once in every 12 years (next due date is 2030).

Day 1: Arrive Coimbatore – Transfer to Ooty (85 km 02:30hrs journey Approx.)

well come to the Majestic Southern Hill stations tour, on arrival in Coimbatore Airport/ Railway station our Holiday pack tour representative will meet you and transfer to hotel in Ooty and Check-in. Have a Lunch and relax for a while and in the evening we visit to Ooty lake one of the prime attractions of Ooty. Rest of the evening is free for shopping on your own.

Ooty Lake: covers an area of 65 acers, a boat house established alongside lake which offers boating facilities to tourists is a major attraction. It was constructed in 1824 by John Sullivan the first collector of Ooty. The lake was formed by damming the mountain streams flowing down to Ooty valley. The lake surrounded by grooves of eucalyptus trees with a railway line running along the bank. Deer Park on the banks of Ooty lake is highest altitude zoo after zoo in Nainital Uttarakhand.

Day 2: Ooty Sightseeing

Today morning after having a delicious breakfast at the hotel we will proceed for a sightseeing Pykara Lake and waterfalls, Pykara is the name of a village and river 19km away from Ooty. The Pykara river is longest among other rivers in Ooty and it considered very sacred by Todas (Local tribes). A boat house on the Pykara reservoir is an added attraction. The lake surrounded with dense sholas, Toda tribes, grassy meadows.

Wenlock downs on the way to Pykara a vast expanse of grassy meadows it is one of most scenic attractions of Ooty, spread around 20,000 acres of rolling lands that seems to be stretching endlessly. The entire place is covered with shola forests. The place is more popularly known as shooting point. It has two popular movie shooting points knowns as sixth mile and ninth mile named so because of they are located at 6miles and 9 miles away from Ooty.

Afternoon we return to the hotel, rest of the evening is free for shopping.

Day 3: Ooty Sightseeing

Today morning after having a breakfast at the hotel we proceed for a Sightseeing of Dodabetta Peak, it is the highest peak in the Nilagiri mountain range and fourth highest mountain in Southern part of India which rises to 2,637 mt. (8652 ft.) above the sea level. The area surrounding Dodabetta is mostly forest, sholas cover the hollows of its slopes, tropical and sub- tropical trees in the midst of thick grass and flowering sub- alpine shrubs and herbs very near the mountain. There is an observatory at the top of peak with two telescopes available for public.

Government Rose garden (formerly centenary rose park) is the largest Rose garden in India span in the area of 10 acers, the garden has one of the largest collection of roses in the country with more than 20,000 varieties of roses. Government Botanical Garden span in the area of 22 acres on the foothills of Dodabetta peak in the year 1847. It was established mainly to study and promote the flora and fauna of Nilgiris the garden is lush green and well maintained. A flower show along with an exhibition of rare plant species is held every may, the garden has around thousand species of both exotic and indigenous plants. Tea factory and Museum, Chocolate factory and Golf club.

Day 4: Ooty – Coonoor- Kodaikanal (250km 6:30hrs drive Approx.)

Today morning after having an early breakfast we drive towards Kodaikanal, enroot we cover Coonoor another major hill station near Ooty located on 6,000 ft. above the sea level. We can travel to Coonoor by “Nilagiri Mountain Railway” a UNESCO World Heritage Site the only Rack railway in India.

We can cover Sims park a botanical garden, Dolphin nose viewpoint which gives spectacular views of Nilagiri mountains, Lambs rock and letting valley view. Later we drive towards Kodaikanal.

Day 5: Kodaikanal Sightseeing

Today morning after having a breakfast we proceed to sightseeing. Kodaikanal means “The Gift of the forest” possess a number of attractions. Kodaikanal Lake is an artificial a star shaped 45-hectare (110 acer) lake built in 1863. It is Kodaikanal most popular geographical landmarks and tourist attraction, we can hire raw boats, pedalos from boat club, we can also hire horses and bicycles adjacent to lake or we can enjoy nature through walk on 5km pathway. Bryant Park just east side of the lake a well maintained 8.3hectare (20.05 acer) botanical garden, it was planned and built in 1908 by a former officer from Madurai H.D. Bryant and named after him. It has almost 325 varieties of plant species and 740 species of Roses, it also organizes horticultural exhibitions of flower species in the summer. Coaker’s walk a narrow pathway constructed by Lt. Coaker in 1872, it is a 1Km paved pedestrian path running along the edge of steep sleeps on the southern side of Kodaikanal. It provides a panoramic view of the plains. Green valley view also called as Suicide point, Pillar rocks a set of giant rock pillars which stand 122mt. (400 ft.), Silver cascade falls located on down stream of Kodaikanal Lake.

Evening is leisure for shopping.

Day 6: Kodaikanal – Coimbatore transfer

Today a bid farewell to the Majestic Southern Hill stations-Ooty & Kodaikanal tour. After having the breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport/ Railway station for onward journey. Return to your home with the lifetime memories.
